Visual Arts Career

2008 - Completed work book on Youth Ballet W.A. training at the Terri Charlesworth Ballet Centre and street culture in Perth - work book purchased by State Library of Western Australia, January 2008.

2007 - National Library of Australia purchases a series of images depicting Inner City Perth - 4 images of street culture, and 4 images of Youth Ballet W.A.

2007 - Iia Dentsu InterAD x1 World Champion Winner as member of the United Nations-Boomerang Team representing Edith Cowen University, W.A.
Provided nine of the ten images submitted by Boomerang Team - which took out the award in South East Asia, then went on to also win the overall World Champisonship.

2003 - assignment for CSA Mine Cobar - annual report.
Images for Cobar Council - Miners Ghost Festival.

2002 - Official photographer for 2002 The Year of the Outback - covering Central/North Western NSW.
• Articles for R.M. Williams publications Outback Magazine and Hooves and Horns.
• Images published in Australian Geographic.
• Advertising promotional images for Reliance Credit Union.

2001 - Freelance documentary photography for Community News (Footscray) and Leader Newspaper (Blackburn).
• Also work produced for the Geelong Advertiser and Daily Telegraph.

1998-2001 - commercial photographer: Great Southern Stock - produced images for advertising campaigns for Carlton United, Box Hill Hospital, McMillan Publishing and the Melbourne Marketing Authority.
• Also produced promotional material for the Salvation Army, Yarra Community Housing, Anti-Cancer Council and Turning Point (drug and alcohol research centre).

1996-98 - three year Diploma (see above) in Illustrative Photography - final folio featuring Inner South Community health Services (including homeless persons programme) exhibited at Malvern Town Hall, Toorak Library (still touring Melbourne at present).

2008 - Vivid National Photographic Festival - 8 images included in an exhibition at Old Parliament House, ACT in July 2008.

2007 - Impact; A Changing Land - Exhibition at the State Library of N.S.W. opened by Tim Flannery, Australian of the year. Four images chosen for exhibition - the images are part of the series purchased by the State Library depicting the drought of 2002.

2005 - Fringe Dwellers - Huw Davies Gallery, Griffith, ACT
- retrospective covering ten years of street photography.

2004 - Darren Clark - Outback Images
Tuggeranong Arts Centre, Canberra
Solo exhibition (held in collaboration with the launch of Michelle Grattan's book "Back on the Wool Track".

2002/03 - Bourke Exhibition Centre
Images documenting affects of drought - several placed in Bourke Archives.

2002 - Dust - Broken Hill Gallery
Joint exhibition. Four images collected by Broken Hill Gallery and included in European tour.
